NatGeo showcases Bolivia myths and traditions

From August, American television channel National Geographic will offer a series of 10 micro-documentaries about Bolivia, focusing on the natural resources, the traditional crafts, the culture and the alimentary identity of the country.

The series, scripted and directed by Argentinean filmmaker Germán Gugliara, will bear the name “Orígenes Huari”, in reference to one of Bolivia´s premium beers.

National Geographic, commercially abbreviated and trademarked as Nat Geo, will open the series with the legend of the Thunupa volcano, that says that the tears and breast milk of Thunupa, a female volcano, spread what is today the Salar de Thunupa and Salar de Uyuni.
