Nicaragua discusses challenges of Central America monetary policy

Nicaragua´s capital city will receive the Presidents of the Central Banks of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, and the Governor of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. An economic balance for Central America in 2017 will be presented, and the main challenges and monetary policy actions for the region on 2018 will be discussed.
Among the guests will be Alejandro Werner, Director of the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who will make a public presentation on the Global Macroeconomic Perspectives and the Latin American and Caribbean Region. In addition, Werner will take the opportunity to meet with government representatives and private Nicaraguan organizations.
