"Our country continues to be an example of energy production from renewable sources”, said the Nicaraguan Ambassador at Germany, Karla Beteta, citing The Climate Reality Project, which recognizes Nicaragua as one of three nations, together with Costa Rica and Sweden, that have globally established a follow-up route in the matter.
During her presentation Beteta encouraged the German business community to invest in clean energies throughout the Central American region, and highlighted Nicaragua’s participation in the Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), a nonprofit organization working with leaders in government, the private sector and civil society to drive faster action towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
"We were among the first countries to join this initiative and among the first five countries to prepare a diagnosis of the gap in electricity access between the population and the required energy policies that must be promoted, something that has earned Nicaragua a great international recognition”, stated Beteta, according to El 19 Digital.
Based in Berlin, RENAC is one of the leading international providers for training and capacity building on renewable energy and energy efficiency.
