The Cosep met with the presidential commissioner for the Customs Union, Luis Miguel Castillo, in order to know the integration experience between Guatemalan and Honduran customs.
Both countries are in the process to finalize an agreement that will enter into force on 1 January 2016 and that looks for free movement of people and goods between the two countries, a concrete step towards regional integration.
Castillo said that the agreement will boost both economies to a growth of between 1% and 2% points in their gross domestic product (GDP).
