Nicaragua, understanding the value of creating its Country Brand

"A Country brand is the simplest and briefest way for a nation to identify worldwide. It’s the full synthesis expression of a country, the global recognition of its identity. Therefore, by not having one we are losing the ability to penetrate markets and the opportunity for the world to know us better”, explained Jose Angel Buitrago, director of ANEP, to El Nuevo Diario.
According to APEN´s authorities, despite the necessary free trade agreements the country has, it´s also a fundamental factor the development of a positioning strategy for the country with a permanent promotion policy that includes Nicaragua´s exportable products.
"Internationally they need to look to us not only as a beautiful tourist destination of beaches and forests, but also as global top producers of certain consuming goods”, added Azucena Castillo, general manager of the Association.
