Nicaragua works on a new Commerce Code
By Guy José Bendaña-Guerrero & Asociados

"Once approved, we will have a modern legal body to respond to the needs of domestic and foreign investors. It will also enable faster and safer business operations, which will improve the country's business climate", said Juan Carlos Amador, executive director of the Nicaraguan Chamber of Industries (Cadin).
The current Commercial Code was created in 1914, therefore a new Code is required for answering the needs of current market and commercial transactions, as well as providing greater legal certainty to investments in the country.
