Nicaraguan author Pedro Alfonso Morales denounces alleged plagiarism
By Guy José Bendaña-Guerrero & Asociados

The plagiarism was first noticed by Nicaragua civil association Intercultural Creator Action, which published a statement after finding out that ten of Rodríguez's stories in its book "El jardín de Mamá Charo" had “sizable similarities” with Morales book "Serenito”.
Morales, a Nicaraguan writer, poet and musician born in 1960, is a member of the Nicaraguan Center for Writers and has a degree in Education Sciences. According to Morales, when he visited Panama in April 2018 to participate in a conference of Central American authors, Rodríguez personally accepted to him her responsibility in the alleged plagiarism.
He now asks her to acknowledge it publicly, cancel the registration of the works involved, remove all copies for sale, cancel any contracts or editorial agreements and pay damages.
