Paraguay new member of the Latin American Association of Development Financial Institutions

The recent assembly of ALIDE had the main topic: “The Boost of Productivity and Entrepreneurial Development” in order to analyze the current challenges posed by the improvement of productivity as a critical factor in the regional economic performance and in its integration to the global value chains, together with the action of developing banking to support the productive transformation process and the business development.

Based on this objective, the main aspects addressed deal with the participation of development banking: 1) its contribution to the development of a national and international connectivity; 2) the boost and consolidation of entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in the region; and 3) the increase of businesses and investment for development, by means of financial cooperation among banks and financial institutions in the region and in other.
