Paraguay presents its Country Brand at the WIPO

According to Patricia Stanley, head of the Intellectual Property Directorate (Dinapi) of Paraguay, the platform will allow the country to increase commercial activity and improve its international image while showing its potentials to the world, such as its economic growth and profuse investment environment.
Among other things, the exhibition stand will highlight a Paraguayan record: the largest container ship to operate in a river, launched last year and fabricated by local shipyard La Barca del Pescador. With a capacity of 720 containers of 20 feet or 360 containers of 40 feet, the ship transports several Paraguayan exports like meat, electronics and domestic appliances.
In addition to promoting its Country Brand, Dinapi´s authorities will look to update discuss treaties, country positions, broadcasting rights, and copyright, patent and trademark limitations. "We need to hear and decide over the next laws and treaties that will govern internationally", said Stanley yo newspaper La Nación.
