Paraguayan E- Commerce Law will provide consumers with increased Security

In Paraguay, the volume of online consumers in not very elevated mainly because of the fear consumers have to use their credit cards online. On the other hand, there are very few Paraguayan stores which offer products online.
The new Paraguayan E- Commerce law establishes legal mechanisms to provide consumers security when purchasing products and services online. The law also provides store owners with a clear legal framework, in order to offer products and services in cyberspace.
The law sets penalties for against those who sell and offer services online, depending on the severity of the misdemeanour.
Severe violations are those against intellectual property, denial of reimbursement, among others.
The Executive Branch of the Paraguayan Government must issue a document of the regulation of this law.
