Peruvian exports achieved record figures during 2018

During 2018, the most exported value-added products were frozen squid (60% more), fresh blueberries (49%), grapes and avocados (26%), fine hair items (20%), plastics manufactures (16%) and cotton garments (13%).
The fishing and agroindustrial products achieved record sales of USD 5,860 and USD 1,369 million respectively, being the two sectors with more growth: 26% and 15%.
It should be noted that, of the 7,500 Peruvian export companies of non-traditional products, 97% are micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Total exports reached USD 47,709 million during 2018, an increase of 7% compared to 2017.
