Peruvian national food brand achieves business records in Europe

Such figure is the result of 3280 business appointments made by 40 Peruvian companies who assisted from October 5 -9, 2019, to Cologne, Germany.
“In Anuga 2019, Peru, on its 20th anniversary of participation, made a very good impression on the thousands of buyers who attend the fair, presenting a new supply of food with added value that comply with European standards”, PromPeru stated on a press release.
The event highlighted the development of Super Foods Peru, a national brand created in 2018 to identify “an inexhaustible larder” of fruits, grains, and vegetables, “exceptional products” for the palate and the wellness of the body that make Peru a “land of unique delicacies”. Ginger, turmeric, mango, avocado, cranberries, quinoa, maca, kiwicha, legumes and tapenades were among the most claimed products by buyers from Germany, France, Poland, Russia, Turkey, the United Kingdom India and South Korea.
According to a statement from the organization of Anuga 2019, “the world's largest trade fair for food and beverages demonstrated once again that it is the industry's no. 1 global event, with over 170,000 trade visitors from 201 countries and around 7,500 exhibitors”.
