By PPO Abogados

For the second consecutive year, PPO Abogados has sponsored and hosted the GC Powerlist: Bolivia 2023, an event affiliated with the British directory THE LEGAL 500, one of the world's most prominent legal directories, with the aim of recognizing the outstanding performance of lawyers in Bolivia.
Since 2013, THE LEGAL 500 has distinguished over 3,000 GCs in approximately 40 countries through the GC Powerlist, providing a special platform for them to access programs, training, and networking opportunities with leading law firms in each jurisdiction.
In this edition, the GC Powerlist: Bolivia 2023 recognized the top 60 lawyers in the country after conducting a rigorous professional evaluation of their performance in providing in-house legal counsel to companies operating in more than 30 industries.
Alejandro Pemintel, director of PPO Abogados, mentioned that in recent years, Bolivian GCs have played a remarkable role in overcoming a myriad of challenges posed by new legislation, macroeconomic difficulties, and financial pressures. During this period, GCs have been required to make strategic decisions, demonstrating a high degree of resilience, finding solutions, and paving the way for their companies to navigate a more robust business environment.
"At PPO, we recognize the leadership skills, meritocracy, and strong commitment to quality and professionalism of GCs within the market, where Bolivian companies rely on their services for the solid combination of academic expertise and business acumen. GCs possessing such skills make significant contributions that enhance the competitiveness and profitability of their employers. Their advice prevents contingencies, resolves existing problems, and identifies opportunities presented by an ever-evolving world," Pemintel assured.
PPO Abogados works closely with GCs and legal departments based in Bolivia and abroad. The challenges and opportunities of their clients motivate them to constantly innovate and seek ways to improve their services. The PPO team, comprising over 50% women, possesses a deep understanding of the market, trends, and the business climate.
