PPO Abogados Joins Pacto Global Bolivia

By PPO Abogados

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is an initiative for companies that are committed to integrating 10 corporate responsibility principles in their business operations and strategies. The 10 principles cover the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. By adhering to these principles, businesses can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance develop in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere.

Pacto Global Bolivia, Bolivia's Chapter of the program, was created on June 23, 2016, with the presence of 14 organizations. PPO Abogados has now joined the program. "Our commitment is to work in favor of human rights, labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption to build a better world. We are proud to be an active part of this initiative and collaborate with other key actors to generate a positive impact on society," PPO Abogados said in a statement.

As the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, the UN Global Compact continues to support businesses in becoming future-proofed for ever-emerging laws and regulations by aligning voluntary, ambitious human rights actions with internationally accepted human rights and environmental standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the ILO Conventions.
