Product tampering and Public Health
On Friday, April 21, a round table entitled "Adulteration of Products and Public Health" was held in the city of La Paz, Bolivia, with the participation of the local food and pharmaceutical industry.

The Bolivian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI) and the Inter-American Intellectual Property Association (Asipi) jointly organized this event with the collaboration of the German Bolivian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the intervention of public authorities of the State Agency of Medicine, the Municipal Intendance of the Municipal Autonomous Government of La Paz, the National Intellectual Property Service and the National Food Security Service.

Participants were enlightened about the various mechanisms that Bolivian standards provide to counteract counterfeiting and confiscate adulterated products, and the challenges that arise in the task of protecting public health. One of the legal firms that sponsored this event was Orpan Civil Society.
