Promoting the commercialization of national products
The government of El Salvador launched the Commercial Intelligence System, a tool that seeks to promote the commercialization of national products.

The Ministry of Economy informed that the main objective of the system is to use strategic information to "expand national productive capacities", "boost the offer of Salvadoran products" and "identify broad national and international market opportunities".
The tool presents integrated and systematized statistical information of national and international trade, tariffs, details of trade agreements, analyzes and reports for industrial sectors, market profiles, fairs and events information, and global trade news highlights.

It also presents a methodology that identifies the competitive potential of products exported by El Salvador, as well as the potential foreign demand for those products. The system, aimed at companies, unions and exporters, is expected "to contribute to economic growth and the generation of jobs that translate into greater welfare for Salvadoran society”, according to EFE news agency.
