Puerto Rican students receive advice from Ferraiuoli on biotechnological patents

Launched in 2014 by Abel Baerga, Gualberto Rodriguez, Benjamin Torres, Eduardo Canto and Ritmo Aponte, its 5th edition took place from June 3 to 14 with the participation of 26 students. Among their activities, the students visited Ferraiuoli LLC to learn about the intellectual property and business aspects of biotechnology, such as patent applications and oppositions.
The goal of the Ignite Biotech Summer Program is to promote interest in the sciences among high school students in Puerto Rico by providing hands-on advanced laboratory and IP experiences.
Ferraiuoli LLC
Ferraiuoli LLC (FLLC) was founded in 2003 by the late Blas Ferraiuoli-Martínez, Eugenio Torres-Oyola and María Marchand-Sánchez. This group was then joined in 2004 by Fernando J. This recognition in such a short period of time is a tribute to FLLC’s business model.
