Reinforcing cultural identity with 100 per cent Salvadoran products
With the support of the Republic of China (Taiwan), El Salvador Productivo opened a second store, located in the historic center of San Salvador, boosting the commercialization of 100 per cent Salvadoran products.

A joint initiative of Taiwan’s government, the Ministry of Economy and the Association of Salvadoran Producers and Exporters, El Salvador Productivo has since 2016 its original store at the Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport. The project looks to promote the export of high-quality local products that showcase the country’s cultural identity, supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with innovative production processes, packaging and advertising.

Bilateral relations between Taiwan and El Salvador have deepened in the last years, with the Asian country providing assistance for educational, productivity and social activities. In July 2018 Foreign Minister Joseph Wu visited El Salvador for the first time and met with President Salvador Sánchez Cerén.
