ROBALINO announces the appointment of Dr. María Carolina Sacoto R. as Coordinator of the Cuenca Office, strengthening its professional team in this key city of Ecuador.
María Carolina brings extensive experience in intellectual property, data protection, and new technologies law, advising organizations at the intersection of innovation, business, and regulation. Throughout her career, she has led projects focused on the strategic management of intangible assets, regulatory compliance, and technology transfer, working with academic institutions, technology companies, and stakeholders across the productive sector.
Her background includes serving as National Director of Industrial Property at SENADI, where she represented Ecuador in international processes and played an active role in the development of technical regulations in the field. María Carolina also served as Legal Director of the Cuenca Chamber of Industries and is currently a postgraduate professor in the Master’s Program in Constitutional Law at UTPL.
María Carolina’s professional approach combines sound legal judgment with strong business insight, delivering practical and strategic solutions in complex and highly regulated legal environments.
Her academic background includes a Law degree from UTPL, a degree in Business Engineering from the University of Azuay, and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property and New Technologies Law from the University of La Rioja.
