Rum festival celebrates the best spirits in the world
Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala (ILG), one of the finest rum producers in the world, organized in August 25, 2018, the first edition of the Ron Festival "14° 91° Latitude Ron”, which looked to promote the rum industry throughout Guatemala to highlight its importance in the national economy.

The festival, which takes its name from the geographical coordinates of Retalhuleu, a Guatemalan south-west department home of ILG, presented several national brands identified with the appellation of origin Ron de Guatemala, which guarantees a high quality level and specific characteristics of the product to the consumer. Among them Ron Botrán, Ron Colonial, Ron Zacapa and XL Blue, which showcased the country´s widely diverse landscape in terms of vegetation and geographical features. 

Through music, art presentations and conferences, the festival stood out Guatemala’s long history with rum and its promising future, focusing on the specifics characteristics that make Guatemalan rums some of the premium and most accomplished spirits in the world, like its unique production based on fermented virgin sugar cane honey, which gives the Guatemalan rums its finesse and delicate flavors.
