Russia 2018, a big opportunity for Peruvian drinks and dishes

The products intended to be promoted are mainly from the food and beverage industry, although Varilias highlighted the need of "diversifying the offer" to other industries such as chemical, agroindustrial, agricultural, metal-mechanical and textile.
At the beginning of this year, the first edition of the "Peru Week" was carried out in Russia with the aim of attracting the attention of local tourism agencies and importers to Peru products. Within the framework of the event, a seminar on spirits and wines was held.
Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Trade announced the entrance of pisco in the Russian market, specifically commercialized through the Moscow-based supermarket chain Metro.
The Commercial Office of Peru in Moscow stated that there is interest of Metro to sell Pisco in its more than one hundred stores distributed across Russia. In order to complement that offer, the Commercial Office of Peru in Moscow also wants to promote Peruvian drink chicha morada and open two restaurants to make available to Russians a varied menu of Peruvian dishes and drinks.
