State of national emergency
By Espinosa Bellido Abogados

As Indecopi’s online trademark registration system is not available because of the government measures, Espinosa Bellido Abogados has formally presented a claim urging Indecopi to resume such service. We understand that this is the most important moment to have an online system operating as part of a telecommuting strategy carried out throughout the country by both the private and public sectors. The possible accumulation of trademark applications can create a bottleneck by the time the quarantine is lifted.
While we await an answer from Indecopi on the matter, we are working from our homes to give continuity to our services, depending on the availability of such online system and ready to submit all pending trademark applications as soon as it is resumed. Other particular cases will be taken care of once the legal quarantine period has ended, and we are able and willing to attend all your queries and instructions.
It is important to point out that the online systems for trademark renewals, oppositions and appeals, and for patent applications, are all currently operational.
