Strengthening the business network of MSMEs and the entrepreneur culture of Honduras
In order to strengthen and boost the business network of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and boost the entrepreneurial culture in Honduras, the Secretariat of Economic Development and a private network of MSMEs development centers (CDE-MIPYME, for its Spanish acronym) signed an agreement in Tegucigalpa on 27 June, 2019, the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises World Day.

The agreement allows the State and the private sector to integrate efforts and work jointly in facilitating actions to boost the creations of MSMEs in the country. The government, through its Secretariat of Economic Development, is now committed to allocate budget to finance the implementation of an annual work plan.

"Under this scheme, we have agreed to develop a work agenda within the framework of a shared responsibility for the benefit of the country's entrepreneurial sector”, explained Mario Kafati, member of the Secretariat of Economic Development.
For its part, the CDE-MIPYME will provide all technical resources required by the annual work plans and monitor and follow-up developments to guarantee that the goals are being complied.
