Table grapes exports positioning Peru
From January to December 2018, Peruvian producers and suppliers exported table grapes for a total value of USD 819 million, a 26% more than in 2017, according to data by the Association of Exporters of Peru, with the production bouncing back from an El Niño that damaged the crop in early 2017.

Table grapes are grapes intended for consumption while fresh, as opposed to grapes grown for wine production, juice production, or for drying into raisins. Last year the United States continued to be the top export market for the fruit, followed by China and the European Union.

"The efforts undertaken by our exporters, added to the intense promotional campaign for our fruit basket in the world, have enabled us to achieve an unprecedented position”, said Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Sayuri Bayona during the announcement.
