The Central America Virtual Roadshow

By Mayora IP

The Central America Tourism Agency (CATA) debuted for the United Kingdom its new Central America Virtual European Roadshow on October 30, 2020.

The event featured over 40 operators from Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua showcasing a variety of products and services from the adventure, airlines, culture, destination management, gastronomy, hotels and luxury sectors. Host countries had short Zoom presentations before moving to an innovative virtual format where visitor standed for spontaneous meetings.

CATA hopes that the virtual roadshow will allow the respective destinations to showcase their tourism product while facilitating trade between Europe and local operators ahead of the 2021 season, thus contributing to maintain the communication links with the main actors for the commercialization of the multi-destination in Europe.

The roadshow is being developed as part of the project “Strengthening the Integration and Promotion of Central American Tourism”, executed with the support of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
