At a ceremony held on the 13th in São Paulo, partner Cândida Ribeiro Caffé received the ‘IP Next Generation Partner of the Year’ award during The Legal 500 Brazil Awards.
The Legal 500 Brazil Awards are determined on the basis of The Legal 500's market-leading independent research for the annual directory. The winners are selected by a team of judges and more than 20 researchers.
Cândida has worked at Dannemann Siemsen since 1999, being responsible for the contracts area. She has a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and specialised courses in Tax Law and Corporate Law and Capital Markets from the Getulio Vargas Foundation.
She has extensive experience in transactions involving intellectual property rights and business contracts, particularly in drafting and analysing agreements involving technology transfer, technical assistance, licensing and assignment of intellectual property rights, franchising, software, agency agreements, commercial concessions and commercial contracts in general.
She is the former president and current counsellor of LES Brasil (Licensing Executive Society) and former legal director of the Brazilian Franchising Association - RJ Section. Co-coordinator of ABPI's technology transfer commission since 2012. Full professor of the postgraduate programme in Intellectual Property at PUC/Rio.
