Trade Mission of Taiwan participates in business round of the best coffee and cocoa of Nicaragua
With the aim of expanding commercial relations and exploring investment opportunities in products such as cocoa and coffee, a trade mission from Taiwan participated last week in a round of business in Nicaragua.

The activity was part of the agenda of the fair "Nicaragua, the best coffee for Taiwan", inaugurated in the capital city of Managua with the participation of authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce (Mific) and the Official Agency of Exports and Imports of Nicaragua (ProNicaragua).

The ambassador of Taiwan in Nicaragua, Jaime Wu, explained that their mission was formed by 14 businessmen, most of them visiting Nicaragua for the first time. "Nicaraguan coffee is already well known for its high quality," Wu highlighted during the opening of the round of business, where he added that his country is working to import more Nicaraguan coffee into the Taiwanese market.

On his turn, Nicaraguan Minister of Economy Orlando Solorzano applauded the 60% increase on exports between both countries. "Since January 2008, when the Taiwan-Nicaragua Free Trade Agreement came into force, commercial growth has been substantial for both countries”, he said.
