Unilever acquires Astrix personal and home care business in Bolivia
On August 30, 2019, Unilever announced it has acquired Astrix S.A, a Bolivian manufacturer of home and personal care brands.

Founded in 1993, Astrix S.A has become one of the most important local players in the field of personal and home care products, with brands such as OLA, an iconic home care brand present in most Bolivian households. Its home care portfolio, which accounts for the vast majority of the turnover, is the market leader in dishwash, fabric conditioner, hard surface cleaner, and toilet care. Over the past years, the company used its strong heritage to expand into personal care and baby care.

Most recently, Astrix created a small foods portfolio, which was not included in the transaction.
