Uruguay commemorates Data Protection Day

This year the date had a special value as its been nearly a decade since the creation of Law 18.331 for Personal Data Protection, which was approved on November 2008. As part of its commemoration, the government said that during 2018 it plans to work on updating the regulatory framework of the law, addressing the issue nationally at the municipalities level and continuing to work on raising awareness and training with different audiences.
