Uruguay food industry promoted in Japan

From March 5 to 8, 2019, Uruguay was present in Tokyo for the 44th edition of Foodex, Asia's No.1 professional trade show for food and beverage. Headlined by a delegation composed of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Livestock, the ambassador to Japan and the executive director of the public promotion agency Uruguay XXI, Uruguay organized two activities aimed at potential investors, entrepreneurs and buyers.

Dairy and meat exporters, wineries and laboratories were among the present companies at the Makuhari Messe convention center, which gathered exhibitors from 95 nations and 85,000 visitors.

“Due to its innocuousness and exceptional quality, guaranteed by its traceability systems applied by law to 100% of cattle and crops, Uruguay has positioned itself as a benchmark in food safety”, Uruguay XXI highlighted in a press release.
