Uruguay looks for international upcoming ventures

The National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) launched a competition for the installation in the country of foreign innovative businesses that have growth potential.The call is for upcoming international ventures who already have product or services abroad and want to expand their operations in Uruguay. The selected companies will participate in a first pre-acceleration phase, which includes online workshops with relevant information to set up the company in Uruguay.
Those ventures selected for the second stage will receive non-reimbursable financing corresponding to 70% of the project's recognizable cost. Those who reach this acceleration phase must set up the company in Uruguay, which requiremes the hiring of at least one local collaborator.
