Uruguay present in the largest horticultural exhibition

The International Horticultural Exposition is the world's largest and finest horticultural event, an A1-rating exhibition focused on a healthy lifestyle. In 2019, the 162-day event will be called Expo Beijing, held from April 29 to October 7 in Yanqing county at a venue covering 960 hectares.

Uruguay will be present with an exhibition carried out by Uruguay XXI, the agency responsible for the promotion of exports, investments and country image. According to Uruguay XXI, the country’s proposal at Expo Beijing will be “Meet life, meet Uruguay”, presenting the country as a as a producer of reliable food, a leader in technologies, agriculture and livestock, and a global reference in renewable energy.

“Uruguay in Expo Beijing represents the unavoidable step of the relationship with China initiated more than a decade ago to position Uruguay as a supplier of reliable products and services of high added value and as a strategic partner to do business for Latin America and the Caribbean,” said Antonio Carámbula, director of Uruguay XXI.
