Uruguay Technology: Boosting the Country's Tech Industry Globally

A new sectorial brand, Uruguay Technology, was officially launched. This initiative, spearheaded by promotion agency Uruguay XXI in collaboration with the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies (Cuti) and the Presidency of the Republic, aims to elevate the international profile of Uruguayan tech companies.
The launch comes on the heels of substantial growth within the sector. The IT industry has emerged as one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic sectors of the Uruguayan economy. It now ranks as the country's fifth-largest export category, contributing 4% to GDP. This growth brings significant benefits to the entire nation, including the creation of skilled jobs, value-added to other productive sectors, and the enhancement of Uruguay's global reputation, attracting investments to the country.
