21 American companies participated of the Connect USA Expo and Conference on May 4 in San Salvador, capital city of El Salvador. The event was organized by the United States Embassy El Salvador, through the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service office, with the idea of seeking local partners for business opportunities towards U.S. companies.

Industries such as automotive, construction, cosmetics, packaging, industrial equipment, fuel, agriculture, food, technology and veterinary were represented in the event. “In the last 12 months we have seen how trade relations between El Salvador and the United States continue to strengthen", stated U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador, Jean Manes, who highlighted the assistance that the U.S. Agency for International Development has provided to small and medium Salvadoran enterprises.
