U.S. Congressional Delegation travels to Honduras

Congressman Lou Correa (Democrat-California) led a bipartisan delegation representing the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight, Management, and Accountability (OMA) of the U.S. Congress that traveled to Honduras.The group of five Congressional representatives were in Honduras to promote U.S.-Honduran economic and business cooperation, and to boost U.S. private sector investment.
The delegation visited textile and apparel facilities in an industrial park in Choloma. They witnessed first-hand the significant investments, expansions, and job creation in the country’s textile and apparel sector and the USA fibers and yarns utilized in the production process.
According to Textile World, the Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) has spawned a textile and apparel coproduction chain, resulting in USD 12.6 billion in two-way trade and hundreds of millions of dollars in investments in the region.
