Venezuela launches Citizen Service System to poomote IP protection
By Enrique Cheang, E.C.V. & Asociados
Venezuela launched an Integrated Citizen Service System (SIAC) through the website of the Autonomous Service of Intellectual Property (SAPI). This system facilitates the creation, submission and tracking of cases presented by citizens and new businesses, as well as the management of complaints, petitions and grievances.
Venezuelans and new businesses can now submit, track, and manage intellectual property cases, complaints, petitions, and grievances through SIAC. This should streamline the process for citizens.
SIAC is designed to make it easier for people to protect their ideas and creations like inventions through intellectual property mechanisms. This can be important for innovation and economic development.
