Venezuela restart the granting of patents
By E.C.V. & ASOCIADOS
The Venezuelan Intellectual Property Office (SAPI) resumed its process for patent applications, which includes the granting of new patent registrations, an important area of innovation for the country.“Through this new step in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which reflects the determination of SAPI to comply with international service standards, an answer is offered to 16 applications submitted for industrial designs, all of which meet the requirements of the current Venezuelan Industrial Property Law and which were subsequently examined by specialists from our department of New Technologies Inventions," the IP office stated in a press release.
In a goal to adapt to the new reality and to continue to guarantee access to the Intellectual Property system, all the procedures and processes regarding the registration of trademarks, patents and copyrights can be channeled through a virtual attention service that facilitates orientation and specialized advice.
SAPI maintains open all its virtual communication channels through text messaging by WhatsApp, email (recepcionvirtualsapi@gmail.com) and its social networks: @sapi_ve on Twitter and @sapi_venezuela on Instagram.
