Web application against illicit trade
Radar Ilegal is an innovative web application that will allow Salvadoran citizens the ability to report, through their mobile devices and anonymously, entities, businesses or people who are committing acts of illicit trade such as smuggling, tax evasion and counterfeiting of products.

The new tool was designed and presented on August 24 by the Attorney General's Office (FGR) and the National Civil Police (PNC) of El Salvador.

According to attorney general Luis Martínez, the economic sectors most affected by illicit trade are food, pharmaceutical, hydrocarbons, tobacco, spirits, clothing and oils.

"El Salvador faces many problems. Some more serious than others, but all of them tend to cause uncertainty in people. One of them is illegal trade. Without any doubt smuggling is not only a blow to entrepreneurs, but against us all because it affects the possibilities of investment and development that our country needs", said Martínez during the presentation.
