By Estudio Chaloupka

The activity will be held in Buenos Aires on October 18, 2019, specifically focused on lawyers, IP specialists and trademark owners, and raising awareness about the advantages and weaknesses of international protection through treaties like the Madrid System and the Hague Agreement. The Madrid System is the primary international system for facilitating the registration of trademarks in multiple jurisdictions around the world, while the Hague Agreement allows industrial designs to be protected in multiple countries or regions with minimal formalities.
Among the topics to be presented are: the economic importance of the protection of trademarks and industrial designs and models in Argentina; the strategic use of national, regional and/or international systems for the protection of trademarks for the export and commercialization of goods and services; facilitating intellectual property protection abroad; public policies for the export sector; strengths and advances in intellectual property legislation with the accession of Argentina to the Madrid System and the Hague Agreement.
