White gold
2015 begins with good news for agribusiness: "In some areas, cotton will give more profit than soybeans because resisted drought better".

While white gold is mechanized only 3 years in Paraguay, he is moving up and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that Paraguay, could have a harvest of more than 30,000 hectares of product this year. Planting has increased significantly -by 50% - and definitely, cotton is more resistant to climatic shocks than other crops.

Good news for cotton does not stop there: the Department of San Pedro is beginning to reap a cotton and producers expect between 3000-4000 kilos per hectare, while in many soybean plots planted nearby, the performance reached just 1500 kilos/hectare, due to weather incidents and pest management.

Considering the optimal performance, cotton producers, as of February 2015, have a profit of USD 1100 per hectare, making the crop, very attractive.

Finally, another relevant and noteworthy point is the diversification that this cotton streak has generated, reaching all the producers in the area.
