Workshop emphasizes trademark registration to promote legal trade

The Bolivian Intellectual Property Office (Senapi) participated in the department of La Paz on a workshop to promote legal trade, organized within the framework of the agreement between Bolivia and Peru on promotion and reciprocal protection of investments.

Together with the Peruvian IP Office (Indecopi), Senapi focuses this agreement on issues such as education and awareness of trademark infringement, smuggling, counterfeiting and commercialization of illegal products.

During the workshop, Senapi discussed those issues and the creation, registration, promotion and sale of own and legal trademarks, whose products have a clear origin.

For this reason it was suggested to Seanpi to make periodic visits to different locations of the department of La Paz, so that interested parties and persons can register trademarks or be oriented in IP matters.
