Young designers promote El Salvador around the world and look for a collective mark

"These designers are millennials that left the country, studied abroad and then returned home to continue working", explained Marco Castro, director of the Salvadoran Business Office in New York, to EFE. "They use their roots through products to remake the concept of El Salvador´s culture and try to generate job opportunities for local designers", he added.
The 15 designers are looking to register "Women's of El Salvador" as a collective brand, while traveling across the world visiting different countries to promote their products. Handmade dresses, pieces of columns that formerly held colonial houses now turned into beautiful handbags, and scraps that have taken the form of bracelets, necklaces and earrings are finding their space in international markets thanks to the hand of young Salvadoran entrepreneurs.
