Young Paraguayan entrepreneurs recognized by WIPO
The WIPO Medal for Creativity, offered to those who have made a substantial contribution for development, was awarded to Paraguayan non-profit organization (NGO) Po Paraguay, which produces 3D printed prosthetics.

"Having a functional hand prosthesis is no longer a dream, now it is a reality for people in Paraguay thanks to the will of these young people”, stated during the award ceremony Patricia Stanley, director of the Paraguayan IP Office (Dinapi). Po Paraguay is able to create 100 3D printed prosthetics for the price of one traditional model, providing a durable, biocompatible and economic solution for injured people.

The WIPO Medal for Creativity recognizes those works, designs, performances or productions that have a cultural, social and economic impact through copyright and related rights.
